While the description of sites is concise and useful and many less known sites are included, this is NOT a 'road tour' guide. Each chapter lists a number of sites that can be visited but there is no indication of times or distances between sites, or amount of time needed for each site or any information needed to plan an actual road trip. In addition, the major sites are listed before the less known ones rather than in order of visitation so you'd need to work thru the list twice. No indication of how long the trip would be with or without those 'secondary' sites.I purchased this for kindle. Little care was taken to make the Kindle edition. The chapters themselves aren't included in the table of contents. Even worse, there are no hyperlinks for the index. (A semi-apology there tells the reader to use the Kindle's search function). Even worse, the 'Cross-Index' of battles shows only the chapter number (which aren't shown in the table of contents) so again the user has to do a lot of work to set up notes and bookmarks that should already be present.
